If you're like me, parties and ragers and the likes aren't really my thing. But what I do love is a good night out with my friends immersed in fashion, art, food and fun. And that's exactly what NGV's U18's Art Party had to offer! You probably know by now, what with the endless stream of Instagram posts, that Brooke, Chessie, Camille and I were fortunate enough to become Teen Ambassadors for this event.

So if you weren't lucky enough to be there, here are a few flicks from the night! Enjoy. X

The Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibition was absolutely stunning and breathtaking. All his pieces were so unique and the hours put into each individual art work was evident. I highly recommend this exhibition if you ever have the chance to see it!

Next up was the amazing and witty David Shrigley exhibition. I loved each and every little A4 piece of art and his work didn't fail to make me laugh, smile and ponder on world issues. I could have spent hours in there - there's even a little bed to take a nap in!

A night of fashion, art, friends, food, music and fun. Sounds like something you don't want to miss, right?

Well, this Thursday the 22nd, do I have something for you! The National Gallery of Victoria is hosting an Art Party for Under 18s and boy oh boy, it is going to be one great night.

There is heaps to do there including collage making with Minna Gilligan, neon necklace making with Kate Rohde & you can also learn how to make Trashion - fashion from discarded and household materials. On top of that, there's also a silent disco, live DJs, Carsten Holler's Golden Mirror Carousel and sliders and fries on offer for dinner.

And goodness, I haven't even gotten to The Main Attraction but I bet you already want to come, yes? Well get this, you're also invited to an exclusive after-hours access to the exhibition The Fashion World of Jean-Paul Gaultier. If you haven't been, you definitely do not want to miss it. Even if you have already seen this amazing exhibition, you probably want to see it again. There's over 140 intricate and highly-detailed garments that you will be able to see, including some worn by Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, Gemma Ward, Sarah Jessica Parker and Beyonce. *Screams*.

I'm a girl who loves being inside just as much as the next loner who spends too much time on the Internet but there's just something about being surrounded by thick, tall and towering trees and being submersed in the beauty of nature which makes me all happy inside.

This was day two of my family's Daylesford trip (day one can be found here) when we visited Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens and Lake Jubilee. It was such a nice contrast to the daily concrete jungle of Melbourne to be amongst the greenery this world has got to offer. Besides, plants are pretty cool. X

Out Of The Woods

Hey guys! So I just came back from my family holiday to Daylesford - a short three day trip filled with lake outings, exploration and well-deserved relaxation.

Car trips are for listening to CDs on repeat and repeat and repeat so I have been addictively listening to my little sister's Taylor Swift album '1989' where the name of this post have may come from... Our first stop was at Lake Daylesford which I adored because being surrounded by all the tall trees may have got me feeling a little like Katniss Everdeen.

It was a blistering 40 degree day so I carefully chose clothes which were loose fitting and comfortable. I'll stop talking now and get on with it! X
